HISTORY: SKYWINGS INTERNATIONAL was a North Macedonian charter airline that operated under the name "Airlift Service". It faced its own financial problems and a brief grounding by the North Macedonian Civil Aviation Agency. In an attempt to reduce costs, it merged with MAT Airways for a short time in early 2011 before splitting a month later. Skywings International ultimately went bankrupt around February 2011.
